Splash
One day in November I splashed my forgotten ink.
Too many people draw elaborate pictures with extremely fine and smooth pen point. I decided that there was too much control in that, so I wanted to find a way to remove that control from my drawings.
I use the end of a pencil to dip into a bottle of ink and draw on paper. The drawings I created with this new method depict the boundary between my dream and reality. I wanted to remember my dreams vividly and visually so that I could always remember them. Often, our dreams lack logic, sense, and a clear picture, but they always have a hint of truth. By using my messier drawing method, I was able to reflect that sense of a small bit of truth in a more chaotic environment. I think we all need to lose a bit of control to find out who we are; that’s what I attempted to do with these drawings.
